    Our story

    The Red Box Liquids (RBL) group was founded in 2018 by Stuart Anderson, a serial entrepreneur and former CEO of a £400 million hedge fund, in partnership with his son James. What initially started off as a university project is now quickly evolving into one of the biggest premium brands within the international vaping market.

    RBL’s vision is to liberate the vaping industry with its quintessentially British style and high quality, delivered through its four core brands: Red Box Vape, Red Box Vape Online, Red Liquids and the Great British Vape Company (GBVCO).

    Since the inception of RBL, the business is rapidly becoming a global brand, supplying distributors and wholesalers across four continents with the now award-winning e-liquid flavours from Red Liquids.

    In the spirit of being completely transparent about our franchise offering, here are a few of the most common questions our experts tend to be asked when talking to potential investors.

    • How much does it cost to invest in a Red Box Vape franchise?

      We have various levels of investment depending on your personal financial situation. We have a package to suit everyone, starting from £55k (excluding VAT). This includes set-up, starter stock, full till system, launch marketing, a two-week training programme, opening support, an e-liquids tasting station, display materials, and shop fit. More details can be accessed upon application.

    • Do you require a deposit?

      An initial deposit of 5% will be required to secure your potential area, however, this is refundable should you decide not to proceed, or if you fail to obtain the necessary financial funds.

    • How long before I get my investment back?

      Various factors will determine your ROI, such as store location and the amount of staff etc. A projection can be created once the location has been decided on and a full non-disclosure agreement has been signed.

    • Do I need industry experience?

      Not at all. Full training will be given to you and all of your staff at our training centre during a two-week specialist course, and we will continue to support you throughout your time as a Red Box Vape franchisee.

    • Do I need to stock only your stock items, or can I buy from anywhere?

      We ask that our franchisees only stock the products that we retail from our own corporate stores. All of our stores have the uniform Red Box Vape branding, whether they are a mainline store or a franchise, which means that customers will not be able to differentiate, therefore minimising brand confusion. This consistent approach also means that all of our franchise owners can offer the same products at the same price points within their geographic location, ensuring that all stores will have the same chance of success.

    • Can you help with finding a suitable unit?

      Yes, we offer full support on finding the perfect trading site for you, whether you have a location in mind, or you are willing to take our lead to help you find the right fit. With many years of industry experience, a great deal of research and over 100 store launches to our name, we’re confident you’ll hit the ground running, whichever territory you come to oversee.

    • I don’t want to work in a shop, is that ok?

      We offer full recruitment support in the early stages to make sure that together we can put in a place a fantastic retail team. However, we do expect that our franchise owners are heavily involved in driving the business forward and as such, we demand a very hands-on approach.

    • Can I open more than one store?

      The sky is the limit with this one. We are happy to discuss the potential of more than one store as long as we feel the focus will not be taken off any existing store(s), which is where careful territory management comes into play and having the right retail personnel.

    • How long is the franchise agreement for?

      A minimum of 5 years.

    • What does the two-week training package include?

      Held at our regional training centre in Manchester, this intensive training course includes running through a full procedural and operations manual, learning about our product lines, till operation, sales modules, health and safety, customer service, financial reporting, staff performance (owners only) and recruitment (owners only).

    • What could I expect in terms of marketing support?

      Our dedicated marketing team are based at our corporate head office and will support with an impactful store launch campaign right through to the day-to-day running where required. This could include new product launches, seasonal offers and store specific incentives to drive footfall to name but a few. Promotional activities may be in the form of online campaigns via redboxvape.com and through the dedicated Red Box Vape social media channels, in addition to email campaigns, photo shoots, surveys, blogs, PR, POS materials design and much more.
